Collection: Compressed Glass Jewelry

The term Compressed refers to the process of how this style of jewelry is created. It starts with three hand cut colors of glass, each being 3 mm thick. The three pieces are then stacked and a weight is placed on them during the firing process. The weight compresses the glass from 9 mm to about 1 mm thickness and creates new colors and patterns during the compression process. Once fired each piece is hand sanded then fired again at a lower temperature to give it a smooth matte finish.
